This Privacy Policy explains how Pickaxe Sound ("PickaxeSound," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PickaxeSound website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication data needed to sign you in.
• Audio you upload. When you use analysis or AI features, you provide audio files. These are processed to provide the Service and are deleted from our servers after processing (see "Your Audio" below).
• Subscription and usage data. We store your plan, credit balance, and basic usage needed to operate the Service.
• Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details; we receive limited information such as your subscription status and a customer identifier.
• Technical data. We and our providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, and basic logs to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and maintain the Service, authenticate you, process subscriptions and credits, deliver AI features, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Your Audio

Audio you upload is used only to provide the features you request. For AI features, your audio and related text are sent to our AI provider (Google, via the Gemini API) for processing. We do not use your audio to train our own models. Uploaded audio is processed transiently and deleted from our servers after processing.

4. Service Providers

We share information with trusted providers who help us run the Service, only as needed to provide it:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage of account and subscription data.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Google (Gemini API) — AI processing of audio and text you submit to AI features.
• Railway — application hosting.
• Cloudflare — DNS, security, and email routing.

These providers process information on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy practices. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. These are necessary for the Service to function.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and subscription data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Uploaded audio is deleted after processing. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may access or update your account information, cancel your subscription through the customer portal, or request that we delete your account and associated data. 9. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
